Sarah Geronimo, haggled talent fee?

There are rumors circulating around the blogosphere that Sarah Geronimo was only receiving a talent fee of P200,000. I do not know where this issue came from but a reliable source, who had first hand information of the subject matter, claims otherwise.
As early as 2006, this said reliable source, who had been present in tapings of Sarah Geronimo’s namesake soap, “Sarah: The Teen Princess,” confirmed that a supporting role in the said soap was earning P20,000 per episode (figures as of 2006, inflation not adjusted). Marian Rivera’s dark underarms might need Angel Locsin-endorsed deodorant
Skin whitening endorser Marian Rivera was photographed flaunting her dark underarms in an event earlier this year. It is indeed difficult to be a prophet in your own country.
I believe this photo, albeit taken earlier this year, is still worth sharing. Marian might consider applying er self-endorsed facial skin whitener onto her armpits. She might, as well, consider using Angel Locsin-endorsed deodorants.

I was watching ASAP 09 a while ago. The production numbers were great as usual. I love how the performers carry their production.
I just noticed when the ASAP Sessionistas were performing, Big Band Crooner Richard Poon forgot a few lines from his song, Just Once. And this did not just happen once but many times. (more…)
Batista, to join Pacman and Nicole of PSD in a movie.
I have previously reported that Nicole Scherzinger is being tapped by Solar Entertainment head Wilson Tieng to co-star with People’s Champ, boxing superstar Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao in a movie, with a working title Wapakman.
A source confirmed that wrestler Batista was being tapped as well, and had recently agreed in making a movie with the boxing champ and pussycat doll.
Pacman, a boxing champ, who had raked in a lot of cash from the boxing ring, had been venturing into diverse interests such as his failed political aspirations, hosting a TV show, starring in a flop movie last year, (more…)

Angel, to join Mega in the upcoming Mano Po movie.
A reliable source informed me that Angel Locsin is currently in negotiations to join Megastar Sharon Cuneta in the upcoming Mano Po movie subtitled, My Mother. Angel still has a one-movie contract with Regal Entertainment.
This would also be a chance for Angel to do a movie with the Megastar and this is an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed. Angel was in the cast of the most recent Mano Po movie, subtitled Gua Ai Di, which is also Angel’s last movie with Regal Entertainment.
My source also told me that the cast will be joined by a male artist from GMA

Charlie’s Angel, to unite with heaven’s angels. RIP, Farrah Fawcett

Charlie’s Angel, Farrah Fawcett, 62, succombed to cancer on Thursday morning at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica. Ryan O’Neal, the longtime companion who returned to her side when she became ill, wasby her deathbed.
Farrah Fawcett rose to fame in the 1970s, thanks to a best-selling poster and the hit show “Charlie Angels.”

Music industry mourns death of a royal. RIP, Michael Jackson
The singer, songwriter and dancer, whose career reached unprecedented peaks of sales and attention, died Thursday after being hospitalized in Los Angeles. Michael Jackson, the pop star, has died, The Associated Press reported, citing a person with knowledge of the situation.

Eugene Domingo, to star in a Piolo Pascual-produced movie

Renowned comedienne Eugene Domingo will star in her launching movie entitled “Kimmy Dora.” The said movie will be produced by Piolo Pascual.
Kimmy Dora (Kambal sa Kyeme), a parody of the ABS-CBN soap opera Kambal sa Uma, tells the story of wins Kimmy and Dora. The script was written by Chris Martinez, whom the UP alum comedienne has worked with in the Cinemalaya award-winning film, “100.”
Eugene truly deserves this break as she has demonstrated a superb array of acting skills

Best Friend Forever: certified box-office hit
Box Office Mojo reported that BFF was not able to reach the number one spot in comparison with previously shown local movies. BFF debuted at number two, next to Angels and Demons.
Surely, Ai-ai has another box-office comedy hit under her belt. This puts halt to speculations that BFF was a flop in the box-office.

Carla Abellana has a boyfriend but she denies it
Carla Abellana was once quoted by a tabloid saying that there won’t be someone going to get jealous should she and Rosalinda co-star Geoff Eigenman get closer.
It’s common knowledge that this former shampoo commercial endorser is the girlfriend of athlete JC Intal. She also dated Alden Guillen, who by the way is the bestfriend of one of his ex-boyfriends.

Ai-ai, Erap, to star in a new comedy flick

We have seen many Ai-ai flicks rake in a lot of bucks into the box office. I just learned that a new movie is on the story board for the Comedy Box Office Queen.
Negotiations are now in for Ai-ai delas Alas to star in an upcoming comedy flick alongside former Philippine President Erap Estrada.

Watch Movies Online
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009I have been writing movie reviews on my blog for quite sometime now. Mostly, I review newly shown movies. During times where several good and sure hit movies open on the same week, I find it rather impractical to see all of these wonderful movies at the theatres. Yes, goingto the movie house for every good movie might be very expensive.
So, in order to maintain my dose of movie reviews on my blog, I resort to Watch Movies Online.
Watching movies online is a great way to see movies at the comfort of your own home. It is inexpensive and you can actually watch the movies several times.
I have the habit of watching the same movie twice in a row. And watching it online gives me the power to do so.
Dawn gave birth to a baby girl
Dawn Zulueta gave birth to a healthy baby girl yesterday at 12:05 in the afternoon. The baby, who weighed 3.5 lbs, was delivered by Caesarian section. Dawn described the baby girl “with a demure cry,” in text message to Funfare.
This baby, to be named Ayisha Madlen, is the second child of the beautiful actress and solon Anton Lagdameo.

Ogie Alcasid can’t help but to shed tears when recorded messages from his daughters Leila and Sarah were played in SOP during Fathers’ Day. It had been a long time since the singer-songwriter last saw his daughters as he is preoccupied with a handful of showbiz commitments.
The singer-songwriter did not deny his knowledge of ex-wife Michelle van Eimeren’s forthcoming wedding to Mark Murrow. According to Ogie, he held it in secrecy so as to protect Michelle’s privacy.
Ogie also admitted that he will have a part in the forthcoming wedding but was so reluctant to give the pertinent details. Many speculated that he will be singing in the said wedding.
Jake Cuenca, hypochondriac?
A reliable source informed me that Jake Cuenca had incurred minor bruises from the taping of his current show. In spite of the minuteness of the incident, Jake insisted in being rushed to the emergency room.
A spectator commented that the bruises Jake got were just “galos” and could easily be treated with antiseptics. Yet, the young “actor” insisted of going to the hospital. So much for portraying a PMAer.
Hypochondriac much, eh? Well, if you earn big bucks with that physique, better invest on it much. Get well soon Jake. I am wishing for your bruises’ speedy recovery, Jake.
