Rosalinda’s pilot episode, an epic disaster

Rosalinda’s pilot episode failed not just the expectations of the viewers, but also that of its mother network, who gambled and took a risk in producing this TV remake.  Rosalinda debuted as one of the lowest-rating pilots GMA has ever seen.

Rosalinda’s pilot episode registered a dismal26.3% in Mega Manila, the 4th lowest GMA pilot of a primetime series in 5 years. Looking at the brighter side, the Carla Abellana starrer premiered better than All about Eve’s 26.1% last March 9, 2009, Atlantika’s 25.5% last October 3, 2006 and Adik sa ‘Yo’s 25.4% last June 8, 2009.

To add insult to injury, Rosalinda was beaten by it’s rival shows Only You, which garnered 27.5% and Tayong Dalawa, which registered 31.7%.
