Cristine Reyes won’t be coming back to primetime

A very reliable insider from the biggest television network informed pinoygossipboy.i.ph that the Eva Fonda starrer will not be coming to primetime.

Cristine Reyes was not offered a primetime series by her current mother studio, ABS-CBN.  As consolation, she was given two lead roles.  First, a weekly series in Your Song Presents and a Cristine Series under Precious Heart Romances.  The network however, promised that Cristine will be given a lead role in a primetime bloc next year.

My take on this? I guess it is not entirely Cristine’s fault.  My informer told me that due to extensions on current primetime series, many shows supposedly slated for primetime had been piling up on queue.

Still a good catch for Cristine. She retained her lead star status unlike other starlets of her age.
