UP Law Block E2013 Lugaw Relief Drive: Please Donate!
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009The University of the Philippines College of Law Block E2013 will be holding a Lugaw Relief Program on Saturday, October 3, 2009 in Marikina City. In light of this altruistic endeavor, we are appealing to all to kindly donate a portion of what you have in order to make this event a success.
The Lugaw Relief Drive is a brainchild of Ms. Donna Manlangit, a hotshot legislative staff in the Senate of the Philippines. “Nothing beats hunger than a steaming hot lugaw! It’s a practical and inexpensive way to reach out to our kababayans,” said Donna.
For your donations, kindly contact Donna Manlangit via email at dcmanlangit@gmail.com or comment in this post and I will contact you right away.
A Letter to Typhoon Ondoy: Dear Ondoy
Dear Ondoy,
You had us. You wanted attention, and you earned it.
No one had the slightest sign of your capability, of your strength. Yes, we could have been more aware. We could have been more prepared for your arrival. We could’ve unclogged the sewage systems, or managed our households more properly, as any hospitable Filipino would do in anticipation of a guest. Yet, we did not. We just thought you were one of those signal number one weaklings and brushed you aside. Our fault.
But nonetheless, what you did was cruel. You didn’t have to drown more than a hundred people, not even a single one. You didn’t have to Ondoy. You killed them. You destroyed their houses, their farms, their only means of livelihood. Is this what you trade for attention? To be written in history? To be unforgettable? Lame, Ondoy. Just lame.
Can’t you see I’m furious Ondoy. Well, maybe you can’t; you’re not even capable. You’re innately apathetic. You massacred kids!!! They had no match on you but you didn’t care. Their cries for help didn’t stop you. You were utterly insensate. How could you Ondoy? You’re such an ass.
Was it not enough that you brought in the greatest amount of (more…)

Apparently, this is what they described to be the “bigger and better” version of the postponed concert.
According to MTV Philippines, the net proceeds of the benefit concert will go to the Philippine Red Cross. The concert will be held on (more…)

By a vote of the “absolute majority,” members of the committee said that (more…)

Marian Rivera donates one hundred thousand pesos to Ondoy typhoon victims
Darna star Marian Rivera reportedly donated 100,000 pesos to the Kapuso Foundation. Earlier, Angel Locsin was reported to have donated 500,000 pesos.
Truly, it’s the thought that counts. Even if Marian only donated one-fifth of what Angel selflessly gave to charity, she is worth thanking for. After all, give where credit is due.
However, Marian did not initiate campaigns to better collect goods from those willing to donate unlike Angel who (more…)
Gerald Anderson swam into the flood to save neighbors
Gerald Anderson is indeed a hero in real life. He ignored the strong current and the cold water and swam into it in order to save needy neighbors.
Needless to say, Gerald has lived up to the heroic characters he plays in Tayong Dalawa and Tiagong Akyat.

Angel Locsin donates half a million pesos to Ondoy typhoon victims
UPDATE: Angel Locsin does not want people to know that she donated a very huge amount. However, this was publicized by other media as well, so my apologies.
Young superstar Angel Locsin donated half a million pesos to the victims of typhoon Ondoy, which has caused so much casualty recently.
On top of the donation Angel gave to the victims, she also initiated a drive to collect more donations. Angel will be roving the streets of the metro to personally get donations from those who have previously pledged.
Truly, this is such an angelic act for the angel personified. I have previously likened her to Angelina Jolie. I hope actors and actresses of Angel’s generation should follow her lead and make their star power more useful. Truly, the original TV DARNA is saving (more…)
Tulong Mula kay Manny Villar: Packed meals with his name on top of it
Sunday, September 27th, 2009This blog is open to any legitimate agent or repesentative of Senator Manny Villar. You may e-mail me at pinoygossipboy@gmail.com. This is not a hearsay, you can see my fingernail in the picture. I just want to clarify things so that we can help people come up with an intelligent decision come election time.
DISCLAIMER: I am not employed by nor am I endorsing any politician right now. However, I don’t see it impossible that I would be working with some in the near future given the academic background I possess.
“Tulong Mula kay Manny Villar” Those are the words starving people would see as they open their packed meals. If not for the Manny Villar tagged packed meals, those in the evacuation centers would have none to eat. It is great that Manny Villar was quick to send food. I wonder how many people volunteered into stamping those little piece of paper, which reads: “Tulong Mula kay Manny Villar.”
I am happy nonetheless that the people who are in the evacuation centers have something to eat. Much more, I am happy that Manny Villar was able to (more…)

Friday, September 25th, 2009
Actor Jericho Rosales spent his 30th birthday last Tuesday, September 22, with patients at the National Children’s Hospital in Quezon City as a way to “share his blessings.”
