Tuesday, October 27th, 2009
As of this writing, entourage of the biggest wedding of the year has just started walking down the aisle of the Sto. Domingo Church as the Philippine Madrigal Singers sing Ave Maria. The wedding was supposed to start at 3pm but the entourage started walking down the aisle almost an hour late.
Thousands of guests arrived at the venue of the biggest, grandest (sans the reception), and most publicized wedding of the year, or perhaps the decade, the wedding of Former Future President and current Future Vice President Mar A. Roxas and multi-awarded broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez.
Aside from the thousands of guests gathered at the Sto Domingo Church, thousands of celebrity onlookers have also gathered along Quezon Avenue, just outside the wedding venue.
Korina enters the church, as she prepares to walk down the aisle, covered by a moving white cloth. Nobody from the outside can see her as she enters the doors of the church. Korina walks down the aisle with her brother. She is teary-eyed as she meets Mar in the altar. She is not wearing any veil. She wipes Mar’s sweat as they proceed to the altar.
Earlier, guests has cheered Noynoy Aquino while walking down the aisle as a wedding sponsor. However,a louder cheer was received by Kris Aquino, who is not an official part of the entourage but was just there to accompany ring bearer Baby James Yap.
