ABS-CBN is PMPC’s best TV station
ABS-CBN has won the most number of awards, including best television station, at the 23rd PMPC Star Awards for TV Sunday night.
The Kapamilya network also bagged major prizes such as best primetime TV series (May Bukas Pa), best drama actor (Coco Martin for Tayong Dalawa), best drama actress (Gina Pareño for Tayong Dalawa), and best single performance by an actor (Joross Gamboa for Maalaala Mo Kaya’s Bisikleta).

In celebration of its 60 years of making soap operas, ABS-CBN declared young superstar Judy Ann Santos as the “Face of Soap Opera” and “Queen of Teleserye.”
“Flattering, siyempre, parang di pa rin ako makapaniwala. Marami masyadong magagaling na artista ang [ABS-CBN]. I owe it all to ABS-CBN,” Judy Ann said of the honor.

Following the reversion of a Supreme Court decision on election ban, Richard Gomez was reported to be asking back the Family Feud hosting gig he left for his political endeavor.
Dingdong Dantes was chosen to replace the aging matinee idol as the latter pursues his political ambition. Now that Goma can appear on TV until March, many are wondering if GMA-7 would give back Family Feud to Goma.

Justin Timberlake stunned by Charice
It was a dream come true for international Filipina singer Charice when she met one of her idols, American R&B superstar Justin Timberlake.
In an exclusive interview with a news agency, Charice shared how happy she was when she got the chance to talk to Timberlake, the former lead singer of 1990s boy band ’N Sync.
“Finally, I met Justin Timberlake last November 4. Nagkaroon kami ng chance na makapag-usap at kinongrats niya ako” Charice said.
Charice, who claims to be a “big fan” of Justin’s, said she met Justin during the CS Board of Governors Gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California.

Lawyer files libel raps against Tito Sotto
A lawyer by the name of Rico Roque Alpapara lodged libel cases angainst former Senator and TV host Tito Sotto. The charge is in reference to two articles that appeared in broadsheets with the titles “Sotto duped by fake lawyer” and “Sotto sues lawyer who bought his car.”

International fashion website Stylecaster.com categorizes Angel Locsin’s one million peso gown as a “miss.” Angel paraded the said gown in the awarding ceremony of the 37th Annual International Emmy Awards at the New York Hilton.

Ranillos receiving death threat over alleged Krista’s affair with Manny Pacquiao
The Ranillo family is getting death threats as a result of the persistent rumors about Manny Pacquiao and Krista Ranillo.
The family claims that the death threats came from “some unknown individuals who are claiming that such inappropriate relationship exists.”

Col. Ariel Querubin to file Senate candidacy, to end military service in simple ceremony
After 35 years in the military, Marine Colonel Ariel Querubin will wear his uniform for the last time on Saturday as he enters the political arena to run for Senator. Instead of the customary full military honors due any officer bowing out of service, Querubin will bid the Armed Forces of the Philippines farewell in a thanksgiving mass and will officially declare his candidacy and party affiliation after the simple ceremony.
Querubin will be deemed retired from the military service upon filing his Certificate of Candidacy on November 30. He has gained prominence after a 7 hour stand off in Fort Bonifacio during the alleged coup plot of February 2006 against Mrs. Arroyo, thus chose to file his candidacy on Bonifacio Day in honor of the late Katipunero and Hero Andres Bonifacio.
The most bemedalled officer in the history of the Republic, Querubin is considered a “living hero” having been awarded the coveted Medal of Valor for heroism and bravery displayed in combat above and beyond the call of duty.
