Royette Padilla accused of raping a minor

Royette Padilla, eldest brother of action superstar Robin Padilla and the late matinee idol Rustom Padilla, was accused of raping a minor last Monday.  The alleged rape took place inside an apartelle in Angeles City, Pampanga.

According to a male employee working at the building, the victim - a 17-year-old girl - claimed she was raped by a man whom she identified as the eldest brother of Robin Padilla.

“Sabi ng babae sa akin, kapatid daw ni Robin Padilla. ‘Yon daw panganay. Tapos sabi ng kasama ko, si Royette daw. Di ko naman nakita masyado ang mukha kasi madilim eh,” the employee said.

The employee, who simply identified himself as “Mark”, said he spoke with the alleged suspect moments after the purpoted rape occurred.

“Sabi sa akin pakibantayan ko raw pinto. Baka raw tumakas ang babae dahil baka magwala raw,” relates the male employee.

Authorities said that the victim is now under the custody of Department of Social Worker and Development while the suspect will face child molestation charges under Republic Act 7610.
