ABS-CBN’s "Katorse," to air on August 24

It had been confirmed by ABS-CBN that the ~~shelved~~ long overdue remake of the Dina Bonnevie starrer will finally air on August 24 in ABS-CBN’s primetime block.

The series will replace Boys Over Flowers, the Korean remake of the Taiwanes Meteor Garden.

Katorse is topbilled by Star Circle Quest alum Erich Gonzales, Pinoy Big Brother alum Ejay Falcon, Fil-am model Xian Lim, and SEA Games swimmer Enchong Dee.

Napanood ko kagabi ang Katorse at grabe, hindi ko siya magugustuhan for some reasons, let me say a few: Ang pananamit ng isang katorse dito ay parang hindi ko mapaniwalaan. Nakalabas ang kalahati ng dibdib, kung titingnan mo ay nasa probinsya pa sila niyan. Pangalawa, ang kissing scene nila na masyadong passionate, parang masyado nang experienced sa paghalik ang dalawa. Pangatlo, hindi suitable sa very young audiences ang mga ganitong klaseng pagpapakita ng sensuality, ilipat siguro sa mas gabing oras. Sayang iyong sinasabing kapupulutan ng aral, tama sana, kaya lang, may iba rin siyang ipinararating sa murang isipan ng mga bata. Sayang ang nakatutuwang linya at bonding ng mag-ina at magkapatid, nakakatuwa, pero sorry, hindi ko siya mairerekomenda sa aking mga anak, at hindi ko rin siya panonoorin.

I completely agree with the previous comment regarding the 3 major factors as to why I wouldn’t entertain this teleserye. At least change the time slot PLEASE. In reality, I don’t think 14 yr old girls living in province really wears such a revealing outfit. I think Erich looks too young to play the character.
